Tempered glass cleaning guide – clear screen in 10 seconds
A dirty tempered glass screen makes the screen cloudy and reduces the user experience. Fortunately, the surface can be cleaned crystal clear in less than 10 seconds. Here's the fastest and easiest cleaning guide that works for both tempered glass and hydrogel.
1. Wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth (3 seconds)
Use a soft microfiber cloth. Make a couple of light swipes from top to bottom — this will remove 90% of the fingerprints and light dirt.
2. Remove stubborn marks with light wetting (4 seconds)
Gently dampen the cloth:
- water
- or a light cleaning cloth (alcohol-free for hydrogel membranes)
Wipe slowly in a parallel motion. This will restore the glass's shine.
3. Finish the fingerprint-repellent surface (3 seconds)
Finally, wipe with a dry part of the cloth. This will activate the oleophobic coating and make the surface smooth and sliding.
When is cleaning not enough?
If your glass looks cloudy or sticky every day, it could be because of:
